Experience

Over 25 years experience working in Quality Management.  I studied a business management degree with a keen interest in quality and have since held Quality Management positions in a number of different sectors including automotive, aerospace and rail industries before joining police forensics 14 years ago.

Since that time I have helped many forensics disciplines successfully achieve ISO17025 and my last role before joining TF/FCN was Head of Quality, Training and Performance at EMSOU-FS.

I can help you with…

Quality Management tools and techniques, and advice and support to enable more efficient and effective accreditation readiness.

What was your first job in policing or forensics?

To implement a new standard for police forensics at Derbyshire Constabulary - it was ISO17025!

What is your favourite part of your role?

I love that the whole team is committed to delivering benefits across policing, not deterred by the challenges faced.  We have such a fantastic team of people bringing so much knowledge and experience together that I feel very proud to be part of FCN.

What work in your career have you most enjoyed?

I particularly enjoy seeing the transformation of units and staff as they progress from initial resistance and challenges through to implementation success, becoming advocates of quality standards and embracing the benefits they bring.
